Theodore Comnenus-Ducas, as emperor of Thessalonica, 1225/7-1230. Trachy (Bronze, 29 mm, 4.72 g, 6 h), Thessalonica. Christ, nimbate, seated facing on backless throne, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left hand; in fields to left and right, IC - XC. Rev. Theodore Comnenus-Ducas standing facing on the left, holding scepter in his right hand; on the right, Archangel Michael standing facing, presenting castle to Theodore with his right hand and holding scepter in his left; above, Manus Dei blessing Theodore. SB 2165 (reverse misdescribed). Light doubling and with an edge crack, otherwise, about very fine.
